The Biggest Reason Makes the Biggest Difference

Once I joined Arbonne, I came to realize that not only am I helping myself through challenges and taking control of my financial situation...but the promise of helping others was an awesome bonus realization....When I work the system ( and I do everyday) I will be financially secure...I will retire my husband so he can choose his hours...I will travel home to visit my family more and I will help those in need...Since I haven't earned my millions yet (not a get rich quick fix!)...I am starting with a doable fundraiser that is dear to my heart...Raising awareness about Violence towards Women and Children is something I have done for over 13 years....I have stood on the subway platforms with the raging grannies and demanded equality for women, I have stood silently in tears at vigils remembering the women and children who have died at the hands of their partners...I have heard story after story...I have marched in take back the night... I have volunteered on crisis lines..I have taught other women how to become counsellors, I have worked on the midnight shift of a downtown Toronto shelter for years......I now work in a small rural community as a domestic violence counsellor..so I have my dream job...but I have never been able to imagine financially assisting a non profit...this small fundraiser..may raise only a few dollars..but it is the start of many opportunities I will have to make a difference...how cool is that?
